JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling practices.
• Familiarity with various types of sushi, ingredients, and traditional Japanese cooking styles is essential.
• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly desirable.

• Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Assist in menu development by contributing innovative ideas for new sushi dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary and ensuring their satisfaction with the meal.
