Job Description
-

Design, develop, and release suspension components and systems for OEM’s production vehicles

  • Define vehicle functional objectives and translate them to the component level
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Team on suspension architecture development
  • Contribute to suspension kinematic and compliance models with Virtual Analysis and Driving Dynamics teams
  • Lead project execution, meeting engineering milestones per KPIs and timelines
  • Manage component design, development, and packaging
  • Oversee Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) for components
  • Handle engineering change management and Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM)
  • Support prototype builds via component build matrices
  • Track and resolve issues using OEM’s GIMS system
  • Manage CAD models, fastener design, and torque specifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field with 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in suspension system/component design and development
  • Knowledge of suspension kinematics and compliance analysis
  • Ability to work with cross-functional virtual analysis and dynamics teams
  • Strong grasp of engineering deliverables tied to project KPIs
  • Proficient in:
  • Engineering change management
  • EBOM processes
  • DVPR documentation
  • CAD tools and model management
  • Issue tracking systems (e.g., OEM’S GIMS)
  • Fastener design and torque specification development
  • Experience supporting prototype builds and managing build matrices
  • Strong communication and project management skills
