  • Facilitate the sharing of ideas, technical knowledge, innovation and case studies with the wider industry and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the project workforce in being diverse, engaged, motivated and competent in Sustainability.
  • Implement the project’s sustainability management system, including the Sustainability Management Plan, and monitor and report on performance.
  • Ensure compliance with projects contractual Sustainability ISC requirements across the business.
  • Provide technical Sustainability support across our projects and tenders
Responsibilities

As Sustainability Advisor, you are passionate about the construction industry and committed to integrating sustainability into all BMD WA projects and operations. As a natural relationship builder, you will liaise and influence project leadership and external stakeholders to achieve positive sustainability outcomes. You will apply innovation, lifecycle thinking and effective planning to drive sustainability performance.

You will use your excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise to:

  • Facilitate the sharing of ideas, technical knowledge, innovation and case studies with the wider industry and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the project workforce in being diverse, engaged, motivated and competent in Sustainability.
  • Implement the project’s sustainability management system, including the Sustainability Management Plan, and monitor and report on performance.
  • Ensure compliance with projects contractual Sustainability ISC requirements across the business.
  • Provide technical Sustainability support across our projects and tenders.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Sustainability / Environmental Science / Engineering
  • 3-4+ years in civil construction (or related sector) in Environmental / Sustainability Management
  • Prior experience on major infrastructure projects highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
