The Sustainability Analyst plays a key role in Evolve FM’s Energy & Sustainability team, driving data-informed sustainability initiatives. This role involves collecting, analysing, and managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data, optimizing energy, waste, and water performance, and ensuring compliance with sustainability reporting standards.
Working closely with internal teams and clients, the analyst delivers NABERS ratings, business intelligence insights, and environmental reporting to support informed decision-making. With a focus on efficiency, compliance, and impact, this role contributes to Evolve FM’s commitment to sustainability and performance excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess recognized university-level education in Environmental Science, Data Analysis, Sustainability, or a similar discipline. Experience in the data analysis, preferably in an environmental or sustainability context, is highly valued, along with accreditations such as NABERS or CBD assessor. A key element for success in this role is your proficiency, ranging from intermediate to advanced, in Microsoft Excel, coupled with a strong background in data management, and reporting. Your ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders to comprehend and fulfill their reporting needs is essential. This role requires a flexible and customer-focused approach, underpinned by a robust commitment to achieving objectives.

EXPERIENCE

An enthusiasm for sustainability and environmental enhancement is crucial. Prior exposure to building energy efficiency or experience in the utilities sector would be advantageous.Preferred Skills

Responsibilities
  • Oversee comprehensive data capture for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions sources, including electricity, gas, fuel, water, waste, and other relevant activities, ensuring accurate reporting for client accounts.
  • Perform quality analysis of collected data using advanced tools and ensure its completeness and accuracy.
  • Take primary responsibility for the accurate and timely provision of energy, waste and water consumption data to all government accounts.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis to pinpoint trends and identify potential areas for cost savings and performance improvements.
  • Investigate data anomalies, engaging with internal and external stakeholders for clarification.
  • Perform interval data analysis to identify load consistency and unusual patterns.
  • Analyse HVAC, solar, and electrical systems data to discern trends and inform sustainability strategies.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental reports.
  • Manage updates to the Energy Management System (EMS) and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards.
  • Provide operational and strategic reporting to enhance sustainability and environmental performance.
  • Liaise with energy retailers and assist Evolve FM facility management and procurement teams with the management of energy accounts.
