QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Around 6/7 years of experience in the facilities management sector and/or consulting activities in sustainability sector, with strong knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable energy landscape;
  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering; (other engineering backgrounds would be accepted in case of relevant experience);
  • Excellent proficiency in English (Minimum C1);
  • At least one qualification, such as BREEAM AP or Assessor and/or LEED AP; strong knowledge of main Sustainability credentials (LEED, BREAM, WELL etc.)
  • Good Knowledge of LCA methods and One Click LCA software;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Availability for business trips on the national / international territory.
Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be a fundamental part of Arcadis’ success and growth.

You will be involved in innovative projects in the ESG sector across different real estate asset classes, supporting your colleagues in measuring and improving sustainability performances related to:

  • Materials and waste produced (Pollutants, noise, etc)
  • Energy, water, air and land
  • Buildings’ energy use (power and temperature regulation, energy recycling)
  • Impact on local communities and eco-systems
  • Suppliers and Procurement
  • Sustainable construction strategies
  • Compliance with environmental legislation.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Carry out research, survey and assessments to measure issues such as carbon footprint, energy performance, air quality and noise pollution against European Frameworks e/o Energy-Environmental frameworks (e.g. EU Taxonomy, CSRD, BREEAM, LEED, etc);
  • Conduct field visits and surveys throughout the national territory;
  • Collect and analyze data, producing reports to demonstrate your findings;
  • Provide clients with presentations and advice around how they can meet regulations laid out in environmental law and/or sustainability targets;
  • Recommend technologies and explain the most cost-effective and beneficial routes to sustainability (Alternative energy sources, smarter water usage, reducing waste, lowering carbon emissions, etc);
  • Identifying potential clients, preparing bid documents and managing resources and budgets to deadline;
  • Manage projects for reporting sustainability targets during both the design and construction stages.
