Background HPE has committed to achieving zero-carbon across the value-chain by 2040, and 70% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2, and 43% reduction in Scope 3 carbon footprint by 2030. Supply chain and operations represent roughly ~35% of HPE carbon footprint. To make advancements within HPE's long term carbon reduction targets, some near term carbon goals have been set as follows: (1) Developing product carbon footprint for all HPE products, services and being able to share this information with our customers. (2) Develop a CO2 platform to track carbon footprint and carbon reduction efforts across manufacturing, assembly (HPE and non-HPE owned), logistics and transportation, material and component sourcing, packaging, spares, refurbished products and inventory management. What you will do: The Sustainability Data Solutions Manager will be responsible for collecting business requirements, co-design, develop process maps and roll out of HPE Operations Sustainability CO2 platform, data tools to measure, track the CO2 footprint of HPE Operations and support the data inputs gathering for calculating the CO2 footprint of HPE products and services. This individual will lead E2E data management, solutions requirements development and execution for Operations Sustainability data management efforts to ensure we are able to track our carbon footprint and measure the reduction over time and provide this data to our BUs, Living Progress Team. This individual will collaborate closely with SMEs from Operations sustainability, digital transformation, Operations Engineering, Sourcing, Planning, Logistics, planning teams to drive carbon data management across all Sustainability workstreams. This individual is expected to have expertise in driving data solutions, technology roadmaps based on customers and business needs. This role will be reporting into the Operations Sustainability team, reporting to the Director of Sustainability, HPE Operations. This is a high visibility role with opportunities to dive deep into solving data challenges across all facets of operations (manufacturing, assembly, logistics, supply chain planning, packaging, and ensuring we have a product that meet our bold goals. This role is not expected to be an EXPERT in sustainability, however, is expected to be an expert in data transformation efforts. What you will bring: Collaborate with Ops SMEs, IT, Digital Transformation to develop a process flow, data requirements and identify technology applications to meet customers' needs and business end goals. Actively participate in all phases of system implementation including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, system design and development, testing and roll-out and production support. Present solutions to senior management, indicating the roadmap, solutions or recommendations based on industry benchmark, and various analysis of current data bases and driving improvements within the way we manage, access and use data to support sustainability efforts. Respond to high priority requests from business owners on data, data analysis to meet and solve data gaps, errors which exist within data sets. Document the process deployed and present to senior management and stakeholders at monthly, quarterly business reviews. 7-10 years of proven track record in support of Operations, Engineering and IT Technology implementation. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain with a focus in data science, process engineering and analytics. Ability to translate business requirements into mathematical models and data science objectives to achieve measurable business outcomes. Additional focus in Project Management preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, sustainability on operational and tactical level. Strong knowledge of process engineering and optimization. Highly analytical with in-depth understanding of business, IT and process requirements. Project Management and Implementation skills. Solution Design experience a plus. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Self-motivated and a strong determination to succeed with minimal supervision. A continuous improvement mindset for personal growth, internal processes, and innovation. Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver assignments on time. Places great emphasis on customer focus. Ability to work across an organization. Team player and team builder. Strong interpersonal skills and effectiveness in working across geographical boundaries. Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, Java, Unix Shell scripting. Advanced knowledge of Hadoop framework desired. In-depth knowledge of data visualization techniques and software tools (eg.
