ICAS is seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Lead to drive the implementation and delivery of our sustainability strategy across all operations. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in embedding sustainability into our organisational culture and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

Responsibilities

As the Sustainability Specialist, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day implementation and embedding of the ICAS sustainability strategy.
  • Act as subject matter expert on Net Zero, ESG data integrity, sustainability assurance, CPD, and emerging sustainability technologies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and members, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory developments.
  • Represent ICAS in external forums, consultations, and stakeholder engagements, promoting our voice in sustainability policy and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and CPD teams to integrate sustainability into training programmes for students and members.
  • Produce high-quality technical content, guidance, and thought leadership outputs to support our members and enhance public trust.
  • Monitor emerging trends and risks in sustainability, ensuring ICAS remains proactive and influential.
  • Manage and deliver sustainability initiatives across ICAS operations.
  • Support and advise colleagues on sustainability-related matters.
  • Produce regular reports and updates for senior leadership and Office Bearers.
  • Engage with regulators, standard setters, members and other stakeholders to influence sustainability policy.
  • Develop and deliver sustainability content for publications, events, and training.
  • Provide technical support to members on sustainability reporting and assurance.
