Job Summary * As a Sustaining Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring robust, high‑volume production by owning the maintenance, enhancement, and release of production test programs for Trimming Ovens and Automated Test Equipment (ATE). This role partners closely with manufacturing, equipment, OSATs, and cross‑functional teams to drive stable test solutions, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across production lines. * You will lead test program buy‑off, hardware and equipment qualification, provide deep‑dive system‑level debugging for production test issues, and leverage data analysis and automation to improve yield, reliability, and overall test efficiency.Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement—we value strong fundamentals, problem‑solving mindset, and a passion for learning.   Responsibilities:  Test Program Ownership & Sustaining * Own, maintain, and release production test programs for Trimming Oven Test Systems and ATE, ensuring stable and scalable trimming test solutions. * Drive continuous optimization of test coverage, test time, and manufacturability to support high‑volume production. Qualification & Buy‑Off Activities * Lead and support hardware, equipment, and system qualifications related to test, including validation, correlation, and production release. Change Management & Validation * Support and validate hardware and software changes, including test program updates, control system revisions, and system configuration changes. * Ensure all changes are properly validated, documented, and released with minimal production risk. Data Automation & Analytics * Develop and maintain automated data collection and analysis tools using Python, MATLAB, or C++ to enable real‑time monitoring and reporting. * Build dashboards and reports to support data‑driven decision‑making in production. Yield & Reliability Improvement * Analyze production data, including yield metrics, failure signatures, and trend analysis, to identify improvement opportunities. * Partner with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions that enhance product quality, reliability, and test robustness. Cross‑Functional & OSAT Collaboration * Collaborate closely with OSAT partners, manufacturing, product, design, and quality teams to drive test solution improvements and project execution. * Act as a technical interface for test‑related discussions, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.   Qualifications & Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics/Electrical/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering or equivalent. * Hands-on Experience with Production Support. * Possess strong skills in report generation, along with the ability to present and communicate findings clearly and effectively. * MATLAB and Python knowledge on scripting, coding familiarity and debug. * Oven and ATE related equipment experience. – ETS88, Ultra Flex, ETS800, ETS364 * Strong HW and DUT Board background. * Knowledgeable in Data Analysis tools such as Galaxy, Exensio, JMP etc. Desired Characteristics & Attributes: * Team player * Resilient and has a strong motivation to grow professionally. * Fast Learner and independent * Highly motivated.   Compensation Range:   At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
