Description Jaxon Engineering is looking for a full-time Sustainment Technician to work out of our Colorado Springs shop. Jaxon is the leading full-service provider of High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) services worldwide, delivering world-class engineering, testing, construction, and sustainment services. Salary: $26 per hour Required Travel: must be able to sustain a 50-60% travel schedule annually. Both domestic and international travel is should be expected for this position. Clearance: an active Dept. of Defense Top Secret clearance- a strong plus. Requirements Primary Duties: NOTE: Jaxon provides the necessary training to fulfill the following duties. · Refurbishment, maintenance, and testing of EMP protected assemblies, items, and facilities. · Provide accurate, high-quality drafts of documentation · Data reduction and analysis · Operation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) systems · Electronic system troubleshooting · Material Procurement and Inventory management · Perform general construction activities · Perform maintenance activities by means of rope access · Maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal & external customers · Meet all applicable OSHA requirements Job Requirements: · Valid U.S. driver’s license · Strong detail orientation · Able to climb stairs, ladders and use hand tools · Able to follow work-plans and instructions · Effective written and oral communication for coordination & reporting work · Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint · Ability to complete training and obtain rope access certification through SPRAT · Ability to obtain & maintain a Dept of Defense Top Secret security clearance · Able to sustain a 50-60% annual travel schedule · Able to lift & carry 50 lbs., multiple times during the day · Prior experience working with Dept of Defense personnel preferred · Prior construction, maintenance or electronics experience preferred Education and experience: · HS diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a STEM field a plus Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on project needs and operational requirements.
