Job Details Job Location: Jones, MI 49061 Maintenance Mountain Operations/Snow Making Seasonal Position 2025-2026 Swiss Valley Mountain operations team members/snow makers are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of snow making equipment on the mountain. Team members will run a manual snowmaking system and must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Along with making snow, team members will perform light maintenance and repairs on equipment, remove snow around snow making equipment and other areas around the resort as needed. Team members should have a love for the outdoors, a desire to learn, and a commitment to excellent service. Knowledge of basic machinery, including pumps and compressed air, is a plus. The Swiss Valley staff works as a team, so you may also assist other departments as needed. Responsibilities: Safety: Maintain all safety barriers, padding, and guards around snow making equipment. Working safely in close proximity to heavy equipment, high voltage, and high-water pressure is required. PPE will be provided and required for your safety. Operate and maintain equipment: Adjust snow guns, water flow, and air flow to create quality snow. Perform regular maintenance on snow making equipment. Relocate equipment: Move snow guns and hoses as needed. Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old by 11/1/2025 to apply. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. All employees age 18+ will complete a background check upon hire. This position requires employees to work outside in all weather conditions. Mountain Ops team members must be able to shovel snow and be on their feet for most of their shift, along with the ability to walk on slippery and uneven terrains. Hand tool proficiency and mechanical knowledge is needed. Good communication skills and the ability to accurately follow instructions are required. Must be wiling to work night shifts. Pay Rate: Starting pay $18 per hour, varies with experience. Snow making work hours are dependent on weather. Employees may receive a pay raise with each year of experience working at Swiss Valley. The Mountain Operations/Snowmaking team is looking to staff 10 employees for the upcoming season. Qualifications
