For all IOM vacancies, applications from qualified and eligible first-tier candidates are considered before those of qualified and eligible second-tier candidates in the selection process. For the purpose of this vacancy, internal candidates are considered first-tier candidates. Context The Philippines is a country experiencing the multi-faceted dimensions of migration. IOM Philippines has a holistic approach to the mobility continuum, whether in emergency or in development settings. While labour migration is an integral part of the social and economic fabric of the country, Philippines also experiences internal displacement due to both natural disasters and conflict. IOM works to provide humanitarian assistance to displaced populations in a safe and dignified manner. Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes, and direct supervision of the Head of Project Support Unit, and in close collaboration with the Heads of Sub-Offices, the National Communications and Reporting Officer will support the implementation of Communications team and reporting activities in IOM Philippines. The successful candidate will contribute to the work of the Project Support Unit by providing timely and quality support communication materials, project visibility products, and reports, working closely with programme teams to document and highlight IOM’s work in the Philippines through effective communications and reporting outputs.
