Qualifications Summary Of Role The SVP, Business Development & Sales (SBD) is responsible for driving revenue growth for Fair Access Banking by developing and executing a targeted market expansion strategy, establishing high-value partnerships, and informing product development to meet evolving customer and industry needs. This executive will lead partnership development efforts across financial institutions and non-bank entities and will represent Vast Bank at key industry events. The role requires deep cross-industry expertise, influential executive relationships, and a strong track record of leading high-performing teams. Major Duties and Responsibilities Drive U.S. market share and revenue growth for Fair Access Banking. Develop and execute comprehensive business development and sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Lead customer acquisition efforts and partnership development with banks, non-banks, and major global technology firms. Build and maintain strategic relationships across the tech/fintech ecosystem, including e-commerce platforms, software development companies, and financial institutions. Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Collaborate across Fair Access Banking to ensure offerings align with market needs; lead co-creation of new products or bundled solutions as needed. Lead negotiations for commercial deals, partnerships, and potential investments. Ensure acquisition and sales efforts focus on priority industries (e.g., gaming, cannabis, unseen markets). Serve as a senior representative for Vast Bank at industry events, conferences, and partner forums. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC. Knowledge & Skills Experience 20+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in banking, strategy, business development, and/or sales. Proven ability to originate meaningful commercial opportunities within the first 120 days. Established executive-level network across financial services and global technology firms. Extensive knowledge of banking, fintech, payments, and large-scale technology environments. Education/Certifications/Licenses Bachelor’s Degree in Management Business Management, Finance, Banking or related field. Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
