As one of the fastest-growing sectors in media by reach and influence, the creator economy is central to Red Seat’s mission to reimagine how consumers access news, insights, and entertainment. Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Red Seat Ventures is seeking a Senior Vice President, Content & Talent Partnerships to lead our end-to-end strategy for identifying, structuring, and closing high-impact talent deals. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will be responsible for sourcing premium creators, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and onboarding marquee talent into the Red Seat portfolio.
This role is central to our growth trajectory. You’ll operate as our lead dealmaker—working closely with agents, managers, and creators to assess opportunities and execute deals that drive long-term business value. You’ll collaborate with Sales to model monetization potential, lead negotiations, and manage relationships from initial engagement through onboarding.
As Red Seat scales, you will also be responsible for building out a high-performing content leadership team, hiring vertical leads (e.g., Sports, News) who will report to you. The focus, however, will remain on closing transformative, A-level partnerships that elevate Red Seat’s position in the premium content landscape.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the full content deal lifecycle: source, evaluate, structure, and close new talent partnerships
  • Lead talent partnerships strategy from origination through onboarding for top-tier creator deals
  • Source, structure, and close high-value agreements with creators/personalities and their agents/managers
  • Model out revenue opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Finance; define ROI and monetization pathways
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and IP ownership as needed
  • Build out and lead a team of genre-focused content heads (e.g., Sports, News, etc.)
  • Maintain strong market intelligence to inform who we approach, why, and when
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for talent business development; report regularly to the CEO
