Description

Guide and develop underwriting and processing managers, offering mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to cultivate a high-achieving team. Cultivate exceptional customer satisfaction, proactively manage expectations, and nurture collaborative relationships with both internal and external partners. Lead the oversight of the risk and controls framework, ensuring timely escalation of any identified breaches to appropriate groups Track critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), interpret productivity data, and design individualized development plans to foster career progression. Manage financial performance to achieve profit and loss (P&L) objectives, adapting strategies as needed to align with broader organizational budgets and goals. Research and implement industry-leading practices to enhance team operational efficiency and contribute to cost reduction initiatives. Play a key role in conceiving and implementing new procedures, operational strategies, and overarching business goals for the mortgage department. Regularly present comprehensive business updates on key performance metrics to various stakeholders. Inclusive of any internal and external exam management by various regulators. (Ex. OCC, CFPB & Agency's) A minimum of 10 years of related experience, in depth knowledge of credit policies inclusive of Fannie, Freddie and traditional Non-Agency programs.
