Job Description Role Purpose The Senior Vice President of People Partnering and Talent is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives that align with Informa's "One Informa 2025-2028" vision. This role combines operational excellence with forward-thinking strategies to shape the organisation's talent ecosystem, enhance employee experience, and optimise workforce investments. As a trusted partner to the ELT, and deputy to the T&F Group HR Director, the SVP will design and implement a unified global People operating model that balances standardisation with regional flexibility. They will lead the digital transformation of HR, leveraging emerging technologies and sophisticated analytics to deliver actionable insights and predictive workforce intelligence. The SVP will architect and own the automation and embed technological advancements for the full talent lifecycle strategy including talent assessment, development and internal mobility, positioning Informa as an employer of choice in competitive specialist markets. They will oversee compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and colleague motivation. Additionally, the role will focus on compliance, risk management, and business continuity, safeguarding operational stability during periods of change. Key Responsibilities and Accountability Strategic Leadership: Design and implement a forward-looking people services strategy that supports Informa's "One Informa 2025-2028" vision and accelerates business growth to foster human progress through knowledge. Partner with the Executive Management Team to design organisational structures that maximise performance and agility Support OneInforma approach and lead the digital transformation of HR, implementing next-generation technologies that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency throughout the colleague life-cycle from attraction, pre-boarding to off-boarding Develop innovative workforce solutions that address evolving market dynamics and changing business needs Create a unified global HR operating model that balances standardisation with necessary regional flexibility Strategy Development: Align People Team initiatives with T&F business goals and objectives Partner with the Executive Management Team to identify the capability required to align and support the goals and strategy of the organisation and partner with L&OD to recommend strategies enabling a “build” first mindset for technical and behavioural competencies. Develop strategies to build organisational capability and resilience in alignment with T&F’s customer base across Corporate, Consumer and Academic institutions. Talent Ecosystem: Create innovative approaches to talent acquisition, development, and mobility that build critical capabilities in partnership with other divisions across Informa. Design and implement workforce planning strategies that anticipate future business needs Establish talent analytics capabilities that provide predictive insights on workforce trends and opportunities. Gather and act on employee data and insights on key objectives relating to the 3-year plan and recommend roadmap for the future Organisational Design & Development: Support learning and development initiatives and work in partnership with VP L&OD to create a combined strategy for every organisational change programme Identify opportunities for employee growth and advancement Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations Manage employment-related risk Advise on HR policy implementation, from the policy team Advise Senior Leaders on policy and legislation changes in each country at every stage of the colleague lifecycle including planning, interview questions, report drafting, outcomes and drafting the existing investigations guide with Compliance. Change Management: Guide the organization through transitions and transformations Support mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring from a design and change management of people perspective Business Partnership Excellence: Support OneInforma through joint architecture of a comprehensive talent strategy that positions Informa as an employer of choice in competitive specialist markets. Lead a team of Business partners who will lead the way in demonstrable impact of their partnership leading to revenue growth Create innovative approaches to talent acquisition, development, and mobility that build critical capabilities Design and implement workforce planning strategies that anticipate future business needs Establish talent analytics capabilities that provide predictive insights on workforce trends and opportunities Develop sophisticated analytics capabilities that generate actionable insights for business leaders Create predictive models that identify opportunities to enhance performance and mitigate people risks Establish metrics that demonstrate the business impact of people initiatives and investments Financial Stewardship: Develop innovative approaches to optimise workforce investments and drive business value Create strategic workforce planning models that align talent investments with business priorities Partner with Finance to develop sophisticated models for evaluating ROI on people initiatives Design headcount frameworks that balance market competitiveness with financial sustainability Following One Informa’s lead align reward to implement a robust high governance reward strategy across all business levels. Qualifications Experience & Knowledge Qualified People Director MCIPD or equivalent post graduate qualification Experience aligning people strategies with business objectives in international markets Ability to translate complex business challenges into effective people solutions Proven track record of Organisational Design and Development Demonstrated ability to reimagine traditional HR approaches and implement innovative solutions Ability to leverage technology to transform employee experience and HR operations Forward-thinking approach to workforce planning and talent management Ability to navigate complex, evolving business environments Significant international experience working across diverse cultural contexts Understanding of global talent markets and regional employment practices Lead global HR teams across diverse geographies, developing capabilities that balance local expertise with global consistency Navigate complex matrix structures to deliver HR solutions that meet diverse business needs across international operations Experience building and leading diverse, geographically dispersed teams Ability to balance global standardisation with necessary local adaptations Leadership Style With a proven track record of transforming HR functions, the SVP will champion organisational development, guide transformational change initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes that enhance value and competitive positioning. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with significant international experience, deep expertise in HR technology, and the ability to navigate complex matrix structures while fostering a culture of trust, diversity, and human progress.
