Description

Lead and mentor a small team of software test engineers while actively contributing as an individual contributor. Execute and develop manual or automated test cases across user interface, algorithmic, and back-end components. Contribute to the creation, review, and maintenance of test protocols, validation documentation, and test reports. Participate directly in manual or automated testing activities using Python or C++-based automation frameworks and standard tools (Jira, Jama, Jenkins, Squish, Linux). Define test objectives and scope in collaboration with development and product teams to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory and company standards. Support continuous improvement in testing processes and best practices within the Electrophysiology R&D organization. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for defect analysis, issue reproduction, and troubleshooting. Communicate clearly with stakeholders to report testing progress, issues, and recommendations. Assist with test planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources to meet project milestones. Support compliance with FDA, ISO, and internal design control requirements through proper documentation and execution discipline. Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience as a software test engineer or related role, or 3-5 years with a master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in a leadership, coordination, or team lead capacity. Strong hands-on experience in manual or automated testing of complex software systems. Proficiency in software test methodologies, documentation practices, and defect tracking. Experience with test automation tools and scripting (Python or C++). Solid communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct technical execution. Experience in the medical device or regulated industry. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix testing environments. Experience generating and maintaining validation documentation and reports. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to software verification. Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
