Responsibility Level: The Clarios Advanced Energy Storage Software Team is searching for an individual interested in contributing on a team tasked with developing new energy storage technology. We are searching for an experienced Software Development Engineer who will join our team to design, develop, and code software components for our advanced energy storage systems. This position will specialize in Basic software development. Responsibilities Create detailed design documents and develop code for embedded software modules following software design and construction processes Perform and participate in software design and code reviews Create and execute Unit Test and Integration Test plans for software functions Perform or support the integration of low-level software modules and hardware bring-up activities Manage activities using configuration management and issue tracking tools. Support the Hardware team development of the electronics platform and Hardware-Software Interface Support development of software requirements and software architecture Analyze and optimize resources including runtime, ROM, RAM, and Non-Volatile Memory Execute the software development process and make improvements to process and infrastructure Participate in cross-functional project planning and review events Coach team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development for safety-critical systems Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on programming C embedded software Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on testing and debugging C embedded software Excellent technical and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Experience working in the Agile Scrum framework Experience with ASPICE software development processes Experience with product development meeting functional safety and security goals Experience collaborating with global team members Experience with Jira project tracking software Experience with formal software requirements tools such as IBM DOORS and Jama Experience with AUTOSAR authoring tools such as Vector DaVinci Experience with AUTOSAR SIP and microcontroller vendor MCAL integration Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) configuration Experience with firmware bootloader development and integration Experience with unit verification tools such as QAC, Tessy, and Cantata Experience with automotive communication interfaces such as CAN and LIN Experience with Vector testing tools such as CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer #LI-DR2 About Clarios: Clarios is the global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility.
