The Work itself: Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings Actively contributes to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities Essential Functions: Supports relationship with product owners to gather and refine requirements for one product task, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions within a product Begins to develop and design architect solutions, considering integrations with other solutions Provides relevant knowledge on the development of user documentation of solutions and follows standard processes in user documentation. Plays a minor role in the development and delivery of new features within a product This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Have expertise of Core Java, JEE technologies, Web technologies, JavaScript and container-based technologies. Develop and maintain front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to support package and product development, including extending functionality. Apply strong user interface design principles and deliver UI-Web solutions using Angular, React, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML-CSS technologies. Knowledge of and ability to develop back-end (e.g. Python, Java, C++, PHP) code in support of package and product development. The ability to develop and use Application Program Interfaces (APIs) (using SOAP or REST, JSON and XML), a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications that specify how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components. Knowledge of and the ability to use application server, database software (e.g., applications, web-based applications, information systems) to maintain, modify, and output data. Experience in configuring CI-CD pipelines using industry standard tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven etc is needed. Hands on experience in Version control using SVN, Git, Bitbucket. Working experience with open-source technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, caching, monitoring, and messaging (Ex: Kafka) software. Experience in designing and building automation solutions to automate manual business processes involving complex data.
