JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Swift Water Rescue Technician to join our friendly team to provide water safety provision for people working on or near water in and around areas within Penrith.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Swift Water Rescue Technician or a relevant paddling rescue qualification
First Aid qualified
VHF Radio preferrable

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Good communication skills
• The role can be physically demanding at times therefore a good level of fitness is required
• Team player

• Water safety provision for people working on or near water
• Retrieval of casualties from water
• Providing emergency first aid to casualties who may have been submersed in water
• Daily completion of required paperwork
• Ensuring kit and equipment are always clean and in good working order
• Communication with others on site
• Establishing a rescue plan and a safe system of work
