Whitby Swimming is a rapidly growing competitive swim club operating in Whitby, ON, and the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Scarborough, ON. With over 175 members ranging from pre-competitive swimmers to international-level athletes, we are dedicated to fostering excellence in swimming while creating lifelong positive experiences. As we look ahead to the opening of the North Whitby Sports Complex in early 2026, we are expanding our coaching team and seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Age Group Coach to join us for future seasons.
The successful candidate will align with our club’s mission, demonstrate a commitment to athlete development, and be eager to grow as a competitive swim coach.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS (OR WORKING TOWARDS) ….
· NCCP Level 1 (Level 2 preferred).
· Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
· Proven coaching experience in a competitive swim environment, with expertise in stroke development, dryland strength and conditioning, and athlete goal-setting.
· Experience as a competitive swimmer is an asset.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate athletes and collaborate with a coaching team.
· Membership in good standing with the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (or willingness to obtain prior to employment ).
· Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.

· Lead one or two competitive swim groups, designing and implementing seasonal training and competition plans.
· Provide on-deck coaching for practices and swim meets.
· Manage administrative tasks, including meet entries, scheduling, and communication with parents and club staff.
· Track and assess athlete attendance, performance, and progress, working closely with swimmers to set and achieve personal goals.
· Foster a supportive and competitive team environment that encourages fun, technical improvement, and a strong team spirit.
· Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and the Club Head Coach.
