Job Details Job Location: Overland Park, KS 66223 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $16.50 Hourly Travel Percentage: None The Blue Valley Recreation Commission is seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and skill levels in a fun and safe environment. Flexible Schedules available for morning, daytime, evenings and weekends. Starting pay is $16.50/hour depending on availability and experience. Responsibilities: Follows safety procedures and practices. Teach infants, toddlers, children and adults water safety skills Maintain paperwork and update swim lessons as needed Be able to teach all swim lesson skills to the standard set by supervisor Work with minimal supervision during assigned class times Effectively communicate with children, parents, guardians, and other instructors, addressing students' needs and providing timely updates to parents and guardians. Maintain all equipment used during swim lessons This is a part-time hourly position. Qualifications Requirements: Must be 15 years or older Previous Swimming experience preferred. Training provided. Ability to work with all ages and skill levels Ability to modify lesson plans to meet the needs of each participant Passion for teaching and inspiring children to learn and grow Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Must be able to pass a background check
