Grow your career in the industry What will you do as a Deck Supervisor? Stand on the pool deck and welcome pool patrons. Talk with Swim Parents before and after lessons. Provide customer service as the deck resource and report to the manager as needed. Serve as the lifeguard/water watcher on duty. Responsible for observing and patrolling the pool area, enforcing safety regulations as outlined in the American Red Cross Lifeguard standards. Assist swimmers in and around the pool area, as well as swim instructors, as needed. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until emergency medical services arrive. Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports. Let the facility (LA Fitness) know about needs on deck and maintain a professional relationship with LA Fitness management. What are we looking for in a Deck Supervisor? Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer. Previous swim instruction experience is required. Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards. Must train on SafeSplash Cirriculum to be a product expert on deck and sub lessons as needed. Maintain class records through mobile app to include student attendance and skill tracker. Obtain pictures and videos of swim classes and swimmers on deck.
Responsibilities
The Deck Supervisor manages pool deck operations, welcomes patrons, and provides customer service to parents. They serve as the primary lifeguard on duty, ensuring safety regulations are enforced and providing emergency care when necessary.
