We run lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and swim teacher courses through Belgravia Academy. Our qualified trainers and assessors will ensure you are fully trained and qualified to become a lifeguard/swim teacher

Skills & Attributes:

  • Current Swim Teacher Certificate
  • Current First Aid (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check & National Police Check)
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable but not essential)
  • ASCTA qualification also being accepted
  • Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarde
Responsibilities

As a Swim Teacher you will teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program. You may be required to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes.
We are looking for experienced fun-loving Swim teachers with Infant’s and Pre School qualifications. Pool Lifeguard Qualifications would also be preferred but not essential.
Our facility has just undergone major refurbishment so we are looking for teachers to help us re build our program. Our facility is indoor and operates year round. This position will provide future growth within the industry and increased hours as numbers build.
