Job Opening: Head Swim Team Coach Location: River Place Country Club — Austin, TX Position Type: Seasonal/Part-Time (May–July) with optional year-round clinic opportunities About Us River Place Country Club is home to a vibrant, family-focused community with an energetic youth swim program. Our summer league team embodies teamwork, positivity, and personal growth—and we’re looking for a dynamic coach to lead our swimmers through a fun and competitive season. Position Overview The Head Swim Team Coach will oversee all aspects of the River Place Rapids summer swim team. This role includes leading practices, managing assistant coaches, planning meets, and fostering a supportive environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead daily practices for multiple age groups (5–18 years old) Provide stroke instruction, technique development, and motivational support Supervise and mentor assistant coaches Coordinate and oversee all swim meets, including lineups and meet strategy Communicate regularly with parents, swimmers, and club staff Promote sportsmanship, safety, and a positive team culture Assist with optional preseason and postseason clinics (if available) Qualifications Previous coaching experience in competitive or recreational swim programs Strong knowledge of all swim strokes, starts, and turns Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Strong people skills, and ability to provide diplomacy when needed Ability to create a fun, encouraging environment while fostering skill development Current Lifeguard Certification, CPR/First Aid, and American Red Cross, USSSA, YMCA, or ASCA swim instructor certification required Schedule & Compensation Season runs April through June Morning and/or evening practices, plus weekend meets Competitive pay based on experience How to Apply Please send your resume and a brief introduction to mdimanoff@arcisgolf.com with the subject line: Head Swim Coach Application – River Place CC.
