JOB SUMMARY

I am looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team on Sunday afternoons. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong background in working with children, enabling them to effectively instruct individuals of all ages in swimming techniques and water safety. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters confidence and skill development in our swimmers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in teaching swimming or coaching sports is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of swimming techniques and water safety principles is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • A passion for sports coaching and teaching, with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of others through swimming instruction, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct 1:1 swimming lessons for individuals, ensuring that each session is tailored to the participants’ skill levels and goals.
  • Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing methods, and water safety practices.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in the pool area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun activities while focusing on skill improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child’s progress and any areas for improvement.
