Description

A swimming pools multi-technician is a versatile and hands-on professional responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all technical aspects of swimming pools, spas, and water features. This includes a blend of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks. The role requires a strong working knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and safety protocols to ensure the pools are clean, functional, and safe for all users. The multi-technician must be adaptable and capable of performing a wide range of duties to address various maintenance issues efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician, specifically with experience in swimming pool maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of pool water chemistry and a valid certification like the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is highly preferred.
  • Must have a good understanding of fundamental electrical and plumbing systems related to pool operations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional vocational training or certifications in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical) being a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems proactively.
  • A strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional, positive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, vacuuming, and backwashing filters.
  • Conduct regular water quality testing and adjust chemical levels (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) as needed to maintain optimal balance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, motors, heaters, filters, and automated control systems.
  • Handle minor electrical work, including repairing pool lights and wiring for pool equipment, in compliance with relevant electrical codes.
  • Carry out basic plumbing repairs and installations to fix leaks and ensure proper water circulation.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and chemical readings accurately.
