As a swimming teacher, you can make a real difference in the lives of children who might otherwise leave primary school unable to swim.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver swimming lessons using a variety of techniques that engage and motivate children.
  • Help children to develop their swimming abilities and reach their full potential by identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Teach water safety skills to children in a fun and interactive way, ensuring that they understand the importance of staying safe in and around water.
  • Use high-quality equipment and follow safety standards to ensure that children have a safe and enjoyable swimming experience.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and confident to learn and grow.
  • Provide regular feedback and evaluations to children and school teachers to track progress and celebrate achievements.
  • Keep up to date with the latest teaching techniques and take part in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
  • Champion inclusivity and work to overcome any barriers to participation, ensuring that all children have access to swimming lessons.
  • Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Active Me 360 CIC, promoting our values and mission.

WHAT DOES SUCCESS IN THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?

Key performance indicators will determine success in the role, including children working towards National Curriculum Outcomes for KS2 at primary school and customer (school) feedback with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 75+.
