JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our team at Swimtime Berkshire. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming to individuals of all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. You will play a key role in educating students on water safety, swimming strokes, and the benefits of swimming for personal fitness and wellbeing.

SKILLS

  • Strong ability to teach swimming techniques and ensure water safety.
  • Experience in teaching swimming is highly desirable. (1 year)
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Patience and adaptability to cater to different learning styles and paces.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

  • Level 2 Swim Teaching Certificate (required)
  • Baby & Pre-School Qualification (desirable)
  • Life Saving / Rescue Certificate
  • Safeguarding Certificate
  • Current DBS
  • Insurance

Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging swimming lessons for a variety of age groups, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit the unique needs and abilities of each student.
  • Educate students on essential water safety practices and promote the importance of swimming skills.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the pool area at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, achievements, and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to continually enhance instructional techniques.
