Responsibilities:
The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Keysight’s campus in Colorado Springs, CO exists to provide mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Keysight’s industry leading electronic measurement equipment. Supporting this mission requires parts machined to some of the tightest tolerances in the industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turning Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Swiss turning machines to produce precision parts and components. Some G-code programming may also be required. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, military training or certification in machining or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience operating CNC turning machines with 3-5 years of experience setup and operating Swiss Turning machines
  • Experience with tight tolerances and precision parts (Sub 0.0005 in / 0.0127 mm)
  • Advance knowledge of GD&T
  • Capable of hand coding with G and M Codes
  • Experience with metrology/measuring tools
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectivel

Desired Experience

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (Esprit, Master Cam, NX)
  • Tool Grinding
  • Experience with Star Swiss style lathes
  • Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs
  • Experience with NP

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and working with machiner
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss Turning machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications using a variety of measurement tools
  • Capable of manual programming and editing programs for CNC Swiss Turning machines,
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Pay Range:
USD $69,630.00 - USD $116,050.00 Year
The level of this role will be based on applicable experience, education, and skills; most offers will be be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range listed.
