Base Pay Range: $0.00 - $0.00 Job Description: The Switchboard Operator is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch at the Valley Center Imaging Center. Summary: The switchboard operator is responsible for answering calls on a multi-line phone system and directing or transferring those calls to the appropriate department or person at Inland Imaging while maintaining a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor at all times. Also responsible for completing medical record requests. Answers phones on a multi-line high volume system in a pleasant and professional manner Answers all company incoming calls in a timely fashion with a professional greeting Utilizes appropriate company system to look up employees, physicians and departments to find appropriate phone number’s Accurately transfers calls to appropriate employee, physician or department Facilitates incoming callers medical records requests Faxes diagnostic reports to provider offices Burns patient exams and reports onto CD’s and flash drives to be mailed to patients and referring provider offices Familiar with PACS system by pushing images as needed per medical record requests. This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting. Performs other duties as assigned. General Duties/Responsibilities: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland’s customers. Detail oriented; ability to multi-task; organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates self-directed learning and participation in continuing education through professional journals, approved seminars, etc. Ability to consider individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients of all ages. Adheres to departmental standards and personnel policies by demonstrating professional demeanor in conduct and appearance. Follows company departmental standards and personnel policies by using good teamwork and communication skills to help identify concerns and solutions, assisting where needed to ensure a smooth functioning department. Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities. Attendance is required for this position. Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed. Medical office experience preferred.
