We are seeking a professional and efficient Switchboard Operator to manage incoming and outgoing calls within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour, ensuring that all callers receive prompt and courteous service. This role is crucial in maintaining effective communication across various departments and with external stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
· The role of switchboard operator is to take calls from the general public, other health care professionals , internal calls from within the hospital , also the emergency services.
· Answering all emergency calls & putting out verbal emergency alerts via our internal pager system ( hence why a clearly spoken is required )
· Dealing with fire alarms and other alarms in the department
· Recording of information – Clear concise information must be noted.
· Dealing daily with on call rotas and emails and other associated admin duties
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
