Sybase - Database Administrator (DBA)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and modernize our database environment. The current state is primarily based on Sybase, and we are transitioning towards a cloud-native architecture with Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Sybase, along with proven capabilities in cloud database services, migration strategies, and automation. Some the key responsibilities are : Administer, monitor, and support existing Sybase ASE and Replication Server environments. Lead the design, planning, and execution of database migrations from on-premises Sybase to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Implement and manage cloud-native database solutions including Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and Aurora. Develop database automation scripts for provisioning, patching, backups, and scaling. Ensure database performance tuning, security, high availability, and disaster recovery. Collaborate with application teams, architects, and cloud engineers to ensure seamless data integration and reliability. Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both on-prem and cloud DB environments. Assist in establishing best practices for CI/CD pipeline integration with databas
