Sydney CBD | In-house role | Global organisation Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Civeo is a global leader in workforce accommodation solutions, supporting key resource and infrastructure clients across Australia, Canada and the United States.  An exciting opportunity has been created for a Legal Counsel to join our Australian Legal team on a full-time basis, based in our Sydney CBD office in Australia Square. This is ideally positioned for an early-career Lawyer or Legal Counsel interested in building a legal career in commercial partnering, supporting Australia’s essential industries.   Position Overview Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with Senior Legal Counsel, this in-house role plays a critical part in delivering timely, practical and commercially focused legal advice across the business. You will support a broad portfolio of work across corporate, commercial and operational matters, partnering with stakeholders across finance, property, business development, procurement and operations.   Key Responsibilities * Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts, including accommodation services, supply, construction, services and NDAs * Providing legal advice across corporate and commercial matters, including IP, IT, privacy, Corporations Act and M&A * Managing contract administration, registers and template databases * Assisting with tenders, proposals and business development submissions * Supporting company secretarial activities, including ASIC filings, corporate records and board documentation * Managing disputes, claims and briefs to external counsel when required * Monitoring regulatory and legislative updates relevant to the business * Delivering internal legal training and contributing to continuous improvement of legal processes   Qualifications and Experience You are a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business and adding value beyond technical legal advice. You will bring: * A Bachelor of Laws and a current Australian practicing certificate * A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, gained in-house or at a well-regarded law firm * Strong experience in corporate and commercial law and contract negotiation * The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment * Sound judgement, attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset * A collaborative, down-to-earth approach and enjoyment working in a close-knit team   Why join Civeo?
