Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Synchronization Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup, integration, and troubleshooting of generator synchronisation systems across various customer sites. You’ll support both pre-planned and reactive work, ensuring power continuity and customer satisfaction at every stage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement synchronisation plans for multi-generator and grid-tied installations
  • Execute synchronisation procedures and perform functional testing of control equipment
  • Integrate generators into complex power systems, including load sharing and DNO grid connections
  • Conduct site diagnostics and fault-finding on generator control systems and synchronisation faults
  • Travel to customer sites using a company vehicle (door-to-door paid)
  • Accurately document work, service reports, and maintenance records
  • Collaborate with internal Coordinators for job planning and resource management
  • Participate in the on-call rota (approximately 1 in 6 weeks, with standby pay)
  • Adhere to all WBPS H&S, environmental, and quality policies
