JOB SUMMARY

The System Administrator is a key contributor to Golden State Bank’s technology operations, responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Bank’s IT infrastructure while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant systems. This role serves as a vendor management coordinator, while also supporting end users and assisting in the execution of IT projects. The System Administrator will serve as a liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholders to implement and maintain seamless technology solutions that align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and ensure operational continuity. Core responsibilities include administering Windows servers, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, endpoint security, and backup systems. In addition to overseeing day-to-day infrastructure needs, the System Administrator participates in audits, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity initiatives in alignment with FFIEC and FDIC regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate is a solutions-driven professional with strong technical skills, communication ability, and a collaborative mindset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in information technology, preferably within the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of vendor management processes and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Experience in providing end-user support for IT systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and proactively address potential issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of technology solutions, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of new vendors based on the organization’s requirements and established criteria.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Support end-user technical issues and manage helpdesk ticket escalations.
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and procurement teams, to ensure alignment between vendor services, end-user support, and organizational goals.
  • Participate in risk assessments and audits, identifying potential areas of improvement in vendor relationships, IT systems, and end-user support.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, ensuring that project goals are achieved within established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for potential improvements or enhancements to current systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to vendor management processes, end-user support procedures, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Participate in regular vendor meetings and provide updates on project status, performance, and any challenges encountered.
