The salary range for this position is $74,500.00 - $111,716.00, with starting salary dependent upon experience, qualifications, and relevant background. Key Responsibilities: Network Infrastructure Administration Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure supporting LAN, WAN, and data center environments Administer and support Cisco routers, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security Administer and support Extreme Networks switches, including VLANs, STP, and QoS Manage and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention features Routing, Switching, and Network Protocols Configure and manage advanced routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and static routing Design and maintain failover routing, redundancy, and high-availability solutions Implement and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies (VLANs, subnets, ACLs, IP addressing schemes) Ensure efficient traffic flow and performance optimization across the network WAN / LAN Architecture & Connectivity Design, implement, and maintain WAN and LAN topologies across multiple sites Manage site-to-site and remote connectivity solutions, including VPNs and secure tunnels Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit provisioning, performance issues, and outages Security & Compliance Enforce network security best practices and standards across all infrastructure Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities Ensure firewall rules, segmentation, and access controls align with organizational policies Participate in audits and compliance initiatives as required Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Optimization Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and capacity Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across routing, switching, and firewall platforms Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Design, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network services Implement redundancy and geographic failover solutions Participate in DR testing, incident response, and post-incident reviews Change Management & Documentation Plan and execute network changes following change management processes Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including network diagrams and configuration standards Develop and enforce operational procedures and best practices Collaboration Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network and systems staff Collaborate with systems, security, and application teams on infrastructure initiatives Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and upgrades Other Technologies Assist other Systems team personnel as needed with technology issues in Microsoft and AWS environments. Requirements Bachelor's degree with major course work in Computer Science and five years’ work experience related to enterprise level computer system/network administration, management, or support; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by ITS Management. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client/server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory desired. Background check required. Valid Florida Driver's License required. May require after hours, weekend or emergency (natural disaster, major incident, etc.) support. Knowledge of Microsoft client and server patch management processes desired. Knowledge and experience implementing disaster recovery solutions, with proven ability to perform failovers in high-availability environments. Strong desire to learn and apply emerging technologies. FLSA Status Description Work is performed independently under limited supervision with considerable latitude. Position typically requires processing and interpreting complex, less clearly defined issues. Work Conditions Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and material of light to moderate weight (5-50 lbs.).
