Description SUMMARY The systems administrator is responsible for the provision, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the systems hardware and software. In addition, this position assists with technical research; initiation and planning of projects; defining needs, benefits, technical strategy, technical analysis and design; support of operations; and testing and rolling out IT solutions. Additional responsibilities include promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, shared services, and by following safety policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.) Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to customer needs; resolves questions, complaints and concerns immediately; and meets commitments. Responsible for systems administration including: Home office will be based in Andale. Travel within 1-2 hours to other locations may be required on a regular basis. Must have an in-depth knowledge/experience with MSSQL Create advanced SQL reports Work with Business finance team to provide SQL export data when needed Database design and data conversion Rebuilds/configures and installs servers, systems and infrastructure applications Configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements Daily system monitoring Verifies the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs Creates, changes and deletes user accounts Provides support, investigates and troubleshoots issues Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis including administrative tools and utilities Performs network engineering tasks, including corporate router configuration Performs ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization Requirements Ability to effectively problem solve Maintains an organized and clean work environment Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management Manages multiple priorities and effectively works with various departments Promotes and follows safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements Presents a clean and professional appearance Responsible for prompt and regular attendance Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed
