Job description:

• Support of Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, File Services)
• Administration of Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) including shell scripting,
• Package management and service configuration
• Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting, and implementing optimization recommendations.
• Design and implementation of backup strategies using backup solutions for
• Companies (Veeam, Commvault)
• Implementation of security measures for Windows and Linux systems in accordance with industry best practices and company guidelines.
• Managing patch management processes to ensure timely security updates for all systems.
• Support for compliance initiatives and audit requirements
• Installation and updating of application and system software
• Automation of routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools
• Monitoring of IT operations
• Design and implementation of backup, recovery and security procedures, as well as ensuring fault tolerance.
• Managing the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure for the delivery of applications and desktops.
• User support for problems, further development of virtualization concepts / use of cloud solutions
• Strict adherence to security and IT standards; participation in the creation and continuous improvement of additional guidelines and standards.
• Participation in and management of internal projects, e.g., the introduction of new application software
• Collaboration with IT security officers and data protection officers
• Creation of technical documentation

Required skills:

• Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience
• good knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

Citrix Netscaler / Provisioning Services / Storefront / XenApp7

VMware ESXi / vCenter / Windows Active Directory / Server / Storage / Cluster

• Good oral and written communication skills in English and German.
