Description

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who can not only manage day-to-day operations but also take the lead on complex projects and guide clients through evolving security frameworks such as CMMC and NIST.
Job is primarily remote, IF in Southern California, there will be occasional onsite work at various client sites.Compensation:

$105,000 base salary DOEResponsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize client infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), and security solutions.
  • Lead and execute IT projects end-to-end (migrations, deployments, upgrades, cloud transitions).
  • Implement and enforce security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, and other compliance standards across client environments.
  • Troubleshoot escalated technical issues (L3) and mentor junior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for client systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address vulnerabilities, outages, or compliance gaps.
  • Mentor junior team members and train

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in an MSP environment (preferred).
  • Strong technical expertise in:
  • Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune)
  • Firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions
  • Hands-on experience with compliance/security frameworks (CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, or CMMC-related credentials).
