JOB SUMMARY:

NuAxis Innovations is seeking a skilled System Administrator Senior – Hosting to support our federal customer, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), in Falls Church, VA. This full-time role is focused on virtualization, data center management, and enterprise hosting. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in VMware and associated technologies to support high availability, disaster recovery, and customer hosting needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere (versions 4, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0)
· 5+ years of experience managing Internet Information Services (IIS)
· 3+ years of experience working with Cisco UCS platform.
· 2+ years of experience with Nimble Storage appliances
· Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Develop, manage, and enhance virtualization platforms using VMware.
• Provide redundancy and failover between geographically distributed data centers using Site Recovery Manager and storage replication.
• Perform upgrades to hosting systems at the direction of government stakeholders.
• Provide support for client VMs in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor system performance and availability.
• Perform routine maintenance and patching of virtual machines and host infrastructure.
• Provide escalation support for hosting-related incidents.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Collaborate with storage and network teams on infrastructure performance and optimization.
• Document system configurations and changes to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Write and maintain documentation for operational policies and procedures.
