Job Description VAM Systems is currently looking for System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions: Educational Qualification & Certifications: Must have B.Sc. degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field. Professional certification is preferable (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and AWS certified) Experience: Minimum 3 years progressive experience in system administration and technical support. Required Skills: Good communication skills. Must be Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and preferably Arabic. Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude. Experience Servers, Storage devices and patch management Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery (Preferable). Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Roles & Responsibilities Install and configure software and hardware Managing on-premises and cloud servers and storages. Managing and maintaining Active Directory. Managing and maintaining Windows & Linux server OS. Managing Microsoft Office365 Admin account. Managing AWS accounts. Set up accounts and workstations Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Troubleshoot issues and outages Ensure security through access controls, backups and antivirus server. Upgrade systems with new releases and models Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet Managing and maintaining the file servers Employing the latest security protocols

Responsibilities

The role involves installing, configuring, and managing both on-premises and cloud servers, including Active Directory, Windows & Linux operating systems, and Microsoft Office365/AWS accounts. Responsibilities also include monitoring performance, troubleshooting outages, ensuring security through access controls and backups, and developing technical documentation.
