JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our client’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, cloud services, and networking concepts. The Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our development teams and enhancing system reliability.

SKILLS

• Proficient in AWS cloud services and Azure platform management.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems: Windows Server, Linux distributions.
• Experience with virtualization technologies: VMware ESXi.
• Familiarity with database management systems
• Understanding of NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Solid foundation in computer networking concepts including DNS configuration and VPN setup.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell) or Python for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of RESTful services and API integrations.
• Familiarity with JavaScript for web-based applications is advantageous.

  Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L4Y 4C

• Administer and maintain server environments across multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux, and cloud-based services like AWS and Azure.
• Proficient in Windows Server and desktop support.
• Understanding of AD, DHCP, DFS, M365 etc.
• Excellent communication skills
• Implement and maintain database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
• Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure reliable network connectivity.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to computer networking, VPNs, REST APIs, and other connectivity challenges.
• Ensure data integrity through regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
