System AIT Engineer (m/f/d)
As an System AIT Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful assembly, integration, and testing of our innovative space systems. Working closely with our trusted and collaborative team, you will contribute to planning, coordinating, and executing AIT processes that drive project success.

Your Tasks

  • Serve as the overall AIT technical lead within a project, ensuring alignment across disciplines.
  • Define integration flows for space elements (payloads, units, or instruments) in accordance with project documentation (AIV Plan, AIT Plan, DDVP).
  • Prepare, organize, and autonomously lead environmental test campaigns, including Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) and Vibration testing.
  • Structure and organize the AIT teams, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional project teams.
  • Ensure technical coherence and consistency across AIT documents, setups, and approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Product Assurance.
  • Prepare and deliver required AIT documentation, such as AIT plans, procedures, test reports, and non-conformance records.
  • Support and implement standard project reviews, such as IRR, TRR, PTR, and TRB, while representing the AIT approach to customers and stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek technical support when addressing non-conformance or project challenges.

Your Qualifications

  • Experience: more than 3 years in aerospace, ideally in AIT, with hands-on involvement in test campaigns. System-level experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Mindset: Open-minded, solution-focused, proactive, and resilient, with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Education: Degree in engineering, physics, space technology, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus.
