JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking up to three experienced Systems Analysts to join the Client Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Center for Shared Solutions (CSS) team. This role involves conducting reviews to ensure adherence to the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, with a strong focus on digital accessibility and branding standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • Conduct reviews of client websites and applications for adherence to digital and branding standards.
  • Test digital accessibility using both manual and automated tools, including various screen readers and other assistive technologies.
  • Perform accessibility and branding testing on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Document review results thoroughly and provide feedback to application support teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with eMichigan team members to optimize review processes.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development related to digital accessibility standards and tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A certificate or degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience testing applications for digital accessibility; 3+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
  • Extensive experience with accessibility evaluation tools such as WAVE, Developer Tools, and Accessibility Inspector.
  • Skilled in using assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical terms in a clear and concise manner.
