Job Title:
Mid-Level System Architect (Federal Government Programs) – Fully Remote
Overview:
St. Moritz Enterprises is seeking a skilled Mid-Level System Architect to join our team supporting Federal Government customers. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems design expertise, with preferred experience in Appian and Box platform integration, and a proven track record of delivering secure, scalable, and compliant solutions in the government space. This role offers the flexibility of working 100% remotely while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and federal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Architecture & Design:
  • Develop, document, and maintain system architectures for new and existing applications.
  • Ensure architecture aligns with Federal Government security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Integrate Appian low-code solutions and Box content management into broader enterprise architectures.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Provide architectural guidance to development teams and project managers.
  • Oversee the design of APIs, workflows, and integrations to ensure interoperability.
  • Advise on best practices for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Solution Delivery & Support:
  • Work with business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Collaborate with Federal Government clients to validate architectures and refine solutions.
  • Support system implementation, testing, and transition to production.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure solutions adhere to FISMA, FedRAMP, and other applicable compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain comprehensive architecture documentation and configuration baselines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in systems architecture, enterprise application design, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Appian BPM/low-code platform and Box content management solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration patterns, APIs, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government IT standards, security requirements, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other major cloud providers.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of zero-trust architecture principles.
  • Prior experience working in a fully remote, distributed team environment.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Fully remote within the United States.
  • Travel: Minimal, but occasional on-site client meetings or workshops may be required.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government clearance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
