Description
The System Architect is responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated system architectures to ensure functionality, scalability, and compliance with defense and operational standards. Aligns architectural solutions with business and strategic objectives while driving integration across diverse technologies and components. Develop and oversee advanced system architectures tailored for aviation and defense applications, ensuring optimal integration, scalability, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into actionable architectural plans. • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards, integrating secure design practices into the system architecture. • Conduct troubleshooting and optimization during system deployment to address integration issues and enhance performance. • Provide technical leadership during the evaluation and incorporation of emerging technologies into defense systems. • Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Communication Engineering, or any related field. A minimum of 12 years of experience in IT support. Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, with experience designing integrated, scalable, and secure defense-grade solutions. • Proficiency in developing architectural frameworks and translating business and operational requirements into technical system designs. • Familiarity with secure design practices and cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001) and their integration into system architectures. • Skilled in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance during deployment and integration phases. • Ability to evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., edge computing, AI-driven analytics, secure communication protocols) into defense system designs. • Hands-on experience with system modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody) and architectural frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGA Class A Medical Insurance Annual Bonus
