The system Designer is responsible for creating and designing projects for our customer. They are responsible for designing and tracking multiple projects to ensure expectations and timelines are met for the customer. They will play a key role in driving the projects and team to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic and coaxial (RF) networks, for both greenfield and brownfield developments across residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
  • Utilize network design tools such as ADM and Spatial Net (Spatial) to create, update, and manage comprehensive network documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with technical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with municipalities, developers, consultants, and utility partners to review development proposals, obtain necessary permits, and ensure all designs meet municipal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Interpret civil engineering, utility, architectural, and as-built drawings to integrate into comprehensive telecom network designs, identifying potential conflicts or coordination needs.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with internal teams—including engineering, planning, construction, operations, and service delivery—as well as external stakeholders, to align network planning with project milestones, timelines, and service objectives.
  • Conduct capacity assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate network serviceability for new developments; prepare both high-level conceptual designs and detailed construction-ready network plans.
  • Track and manage project milestones, deliverables, and permit submissions to ensure timely execution and compliance with project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate, current records in internal systems and databases, including GIS and project tracking tools, to support data integrity and project transparency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team, addressing field inquiries, verifying constructability, and making necessary design modifications during the build phase.
  • Monitor changes in industry technology, municipal codes, and Rogers internal standards to ensure all planning and designs reflect current best practices and innovations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process enhancements, tool development, and team knowledge sharing.

Must Have:

  • 3-5 Years experience with Planning in Telecommunications industry.
  • G license
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
