ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Nuclear Medicine Engineering team is responsible for ensuring that the Nuclear Medicine plant and systems achieves optimum performance and reliability through robust Asset Management and continuous improvement practices. The work of the Engineering team is key to ensuring ongoing compliance with safety, regulatory and GMP requirements. Together with the other departments in the division the engineering team ensures Safe, Secure and Sustainable supply of nuclear medicine to the Australian Public.
The Nuclear Medicine Engineering team are seeking a talented Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineer to join an established, multidisciplinary team of Systems Engineers. The role offers a long view opportunity as the team works to maintain performance within the nuclear medicine facilities at ANSTO.
We are specifically seeking an individual with experience in industrial HVAC systems

Responsibilities
  • Assume delegated ownership and accountability for the process systems included within the medicine production facilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions required for equipment failures, process deviations.
  • Develop, implement and optimise maintenance strategies to ensure continued operation and compliance.
  • Provide subject matter expert input into the development of 5-year Asset Management Plans and Capital Improvement Strategies to ensure continued ability to meet growing market demand.
