We are looking for a (lead) system engineer to join our Concepts & Architecture team in the Product Management & Development (PMD) team.
Establish converter design with cross functional interaction to all value streams within a matrix-oriented organization. Define system requirements based on internal & external specifications and international standards. Within this drive technical communication with customers and suppliers. Application of new design principles with the entire P&ES team. Architectural guidance of the development during the entire product life cycle: specification, design setup, implementation, verification & validation.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Relevant experience in high power electronic designs and simulations or a related discipline – newly graduated candidates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work in an agile and project-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams
  • Fluent in English and German
Responsibilities
  • System design and simulation of frequency converters and their test benches in the fields of renewable energies, electrolysers and battery storage systems
  • Use existing and drive new building block concepts
  • Converter functional design based on customer specifications, standards and guidelines
  • Development and application of simulation models and analysis programs
  • Design and validation of control functions for frequency converters in regard to grid compliance and drive train applications
  • Design and validation of harmonic suppression filter circuits within the converter
  • Specification, selection and validation of electrical filter components
  • Analysis of system malfunctions and subsequently development of mitigating solutions in the area of control technology and power quality
  • Efficient use of design supporting tools, e.g., requirement management system, D-FMEA, risc assessment, trade studies
  • Consider the project performing indicators: time, scope, budget and quality.
  • Maintain valuable interactions & dialogs to suppliers and customers
  • Keep high technical know-how level together with your team through cross functional trainings by using adequate channels, e.g., online trainings, fairs and conferences
  • Work in a matrix environment with other KK value chain organizations like: Manufacturing, Sourcing, Global Engineering, Customer Business Units (BU)
