This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.
HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. With data fusion and mission management capabilities for the Department of Defense, the combatant commands and the intelligence community, HII advances the mission around the globe.

SUMMARY

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer in Jervis Bay, Australia. This role will allow for relocation assistance to be provided to the selected candidate who does not reside within the state. You also must have an active Top-Secret clearance for this role.
The Systems Engineer will serve as the lead expert within the organization on network enhancements from both an infrastructure and hardware standpoint. This individual will work closely with the customer to provide experience-based technical expertise and recommendations.
This group helps provide technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties. Your team members may troubleshoot system outages; correlate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Leading technician responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operation of program systems, equipment, and components.
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Primary point of contact for any/all technical requirements at the mission site.
  • Ensures system equipment is maintained in working order and coordinates with program leadership on all future installations and site requirements.
